Library Thing!

I had a good time playing around with Library Thing! What a great way of organizing your favs and communicating with like minds. I am being constantly amazed at what is on the internet for all tastes and interests. This feature would be fabulous for library workers to exchange title ideas for special events and collections.

I'm still enthusiastic to complete the full learning course though I'm finding that each new step takes longer to complete than the last. We are very busy in our library(as always) and finding the time during the working day is the biggest challenge. Hoping that things calm down before the end of May.

I love Youtube. No matter what your looking for- it's there. Love it. It's good for music clips too.

I really like the concept of wikis. It can allow any group to commumicate on any project or subject with ease. It gives a voice to all which makes for great team work. I can see wikis becoming more common place in the future of many workplaces , and especially libraries.

I finally managed to add a feed from my google reader to my blog! This particular website even has longish clips from marvelous Australian movies- old and new. love it. L.L.

I managed to upload some feeds into my google reader and was pleased that it was so easy. I cant see how I would use this on a professional level, at this time ,but I can see how it could be implemented in other professions and study courses.

Practising with flickr.

Here is my first attempt to load up one of my photos from flickr. The image wouldnt open properly so I uploaded an image from the hard drive.. worked well that way.

I'm not sure if I'd use Flickr. on a personal level ,but to upload images to the world for work related functions and activities would be convenient and fun.

Catching Up!

I'm really glad to get the opportunity to learn more about blogging and My Spacing etc. The kids all seem to be addicted to communicating and presenting themselves to the world this way so I want to understand how it's done!
